Specialisms

Physics

Since obtaining an honours degree in Physics in 2012, Physics has been my prime specialism as a translator. I have a thorough understanding of core physics concepts and processes, know how to handle mathematical and scientific expressions and have experience in academic writing.

Environment

As the protection of our environnment is an issue close to my heart, I am always keen to translate in this field. My science credentials include a module on the origin, use and environmental impact of the Earth’s resources, contributing to accurate translations based on thorough understanding.

Engineering

From product specifications and assembly instructions to user manuals and certificates – your technical documentation is in good hands with me. Or let’s get creative and produce persuasive German versions of your promotional brochures, press releases and newsletters to help you expand your market reach in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Law

As a Qualified Translator assessed by the ITI, I can provide a certified translation of your birth certificate, marriage certificate or other official document from English into German. I focussed on legal translation in my degree and regularly translate legal texts such as contracts and articles of association. I have also been involved in translation projects covering International Law.

Humanities

Archaeology, history, geography – I particularly enjoy translating in these fields as I learn interesting new facts with every project I take on. My experience in this area includes translating abstracts about medieval archaeology, information relating to Scotland’s history and reports about geographic information systems (GIS).

Tourism & Leisure

Attract more visitors from German-speaking countries to your destination by having your promotional materials translated into flowing German! I regularly translate visitor information, souvenir guides and interactive museum guides for top tourist attractions. In Leisure, I specialise on Mountaineering and Snow Sports.
