Helga Weirather
MMag. phil. BSc (Hons) MITI

Born in a beautiful mountain valley in South Tyrol, where German meets Italian, I discovered the joy of learning new languages at a young age. Alongside my interest in languages, I have always been drawn to science and nature.

I studied both Translation and Interpreting at Innsbruck University, spending some time as an exchange student at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. Following a translation placement at Lexus Translations in Glasgow, I stayed in the UK to set up as a specialist translator and interpreter in 2005. While honing my translation skills, I completed a degree in Physical Science with the Open University. Now Physics is my prime specialism.

I have been a Qualified Member or MITI of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting since 2019. So this is me – a highly skilled language professional approaching translation and interpreting with creativity and a technical mind.
