Specialisms

Physics and Mathematics

Since obtaining an honours degree in Physics in 2012, I have been working on localisation projects covering Physics and Mathematics. I have a thorough understanding of core physics concepts and processes, know how to handle mathematical and scientific expressions and have experience in academic writing.

Environment

As the protection of our environnment is an issue close to my heart, I am always keen to translate in this field. My science credentials include a module on the origin, use and environmental impact of the Earth’s resources, contributing to accurate translations based on thorough understanding.

Humanities

Archaeology, history, geography – I particularly enjoy translating in these fields as I learn interesting new facts with every project I take on. My experience in this area includes translating abstracts about medieval archaeology, information relating to Scotland’s history and reports about geographic information systems (GIS).

Healthcare

The translation of medical texts had been a focal point in my translator training. Over the years, it has come to be my main subject area. From sim trans services for medical market research to the translation/post-editing of clincal trials and information for physicians and patients, I regularly complete projects in this field.
